Naz-phosphate
Summary
Sediment-hosted phosphate project in Kazakhstan at the resource upgrade stage, with a resource estimate under KAZRC (over 5 Mt phosphate, mostly Inferred) and 200–500 holes drilled. 3D models and a block model are in the data room.
- Over 5 Mt phosphate, mostly Inferred (KAZRC)
- 200–500 holes drilled
- Resource upgrade stage
- Licence valid to 2029
- 3D models and a block model in the data room
History. Explored 1961–1988, with state reserve estimates at 01.01.1971 (GKZ protocol No. 6369, 18.11.1971), 01.01.1980 (GKZ No. 8636, 26.11.1980) and 01.01.1988 (TsKZ No. 383, 21.03.1989). Open-pit mining since then, with mine exploration (trenches and channels) from 2000. In 2022 JSC VNII Galurgii (St Petersburg) digitised the old data, built a 3D model in Micromine and estimated resources under KAZRC.
